Showcases in Pokemon Go game online are contests held at PokeStops during certain events. The PokeStop exhibition can be participated by trainers by simply leaving the type of Pokemon that has been determined to measure the weight and height of the Pokemon to win the contest. Successfully winning the Showcase, you will get a bonus offer and lots of interesting items.
Each Showcase judges certain Pokemon species based on preset criteria. Pokemon that take part in the Showcase have points that will be compared to all Pokemon in the PokeStop. The one with the most weight, size and highest points will be the winner. To find out the position of Pokemon Showcase in PokeStop, you can look at the leaderboard provided. There is some information in the Showcase that you need to know, as follows:
- Pokemon species competing in the Showcase.
- Criteria to be assessed.
- Shows when the Showcase will start or when the Showcase will end.
- The showcase will appear at the PokeStop 1 hour before it starts.
Recognizing Showcases
The PokeStop Showcase has a unique fish on top in the form of a small circle symbol. When they reach the PokeStop Showcase point, trainers can see a blue circle symbol and can enter it by placing the Pokemon with the highest points as a candidate to win the challenge. By placing a Pokemon, the Showcase symbol will change color to purple. If the trainer does not reach the PokeStop Showcase area, the symbol will be a solid oval. The Fair takes place at the same PokeStop throughout the Season. To enter the Showcase Showcase, you can do it in the following 2 ways:
- When within range of a PokeStop, trainers can enter via the Mp-Icon button.
- Catch the respective Pokemon species while displaying PokeStops with Showcases on the map. In this case the “Enter Nearby Pokestop Showcase” button will be displayed on the Pokemon summary after catching it.
In general, the highest scoring Pokemon not currently assigned to the Showcase will be displayed as the default participant. The Try a Different Pokemon button can be pressed to select another Pokemon. The Pokémon collection screen displayed will have special filters to sort Pokémon based on competing criteria.
Unlike leaving a Pokemon to defend a Gym, placing a Pokemon into a Showcase does not lock it into a PokeStop; it can still be traded, transferred, transformed, or evolved. Pokémon in the Showcase can also be traded for other Pokémon that meet the same criteria. Remote outbound exchange is possible after entering the Storefront. If a Pokémon that is competing in another Showcase is swapped, that Pokémon will be removed from the original Showcase. One Pokemon can only be entered into one Showcase at a time.
Results and Rewards
Completing the showcase will reward all participating trainers with Stardust and XP. The top three trainers will receive additional bundle items. Opening Showcase Medals will level you up for first place in 1, 10, 50, and 100 Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum contests. To get the winning prize, trainers only need to press the Claim Rewards button.
